This year, I have challenged myself to write more and become more active within the larger blogging community. Today I will be joining up with Lisa Jo Baker for her Five Minute Friday. This is when a group of bloggers get together and write on one word for 5 minutes. No editing or over thinking, just simple writing for 5 minutes and seeing what happens. Our word for this week is: Fight.
GO
It’s the beginning of a new year and as per usual, I have written a set of resolutions that are either new for the coming year or recycled from the past. I don’t take many of them that incredibly serious, and it shows at times (trust me when I say I’m not shopping for smaller clothes each year).
So these New Years Resolutions end up becoming my new set of opponents. What am I going to throw into the ring and fight this year? Do I laugh them out of the ring? What do I do next? How do I approach this situation? Do I give it the time of day? Even set aside the proper amount of time for them? Or do I ask my Coach for help?
It’s a fight.
I’ve got my gloves on.
STOP
Great start to a longer blog methinks…
I was thinking that too after my 5 minutes were up. Thank you!
I never make resolutions because usually by the second week in January, they’re forgotten ๐
Anything dealing with food never gets started until the second week of January and then are forgotten shortly afterwards.
Fight – makes me think of the verse to fight the good fight of faith. (I Timothy 6:12) Great word for the new year
I like that. Thank you!

I want to write more too! And even if we don’t meet our goals this year we will keep fighting on! – Your FMF friend
